20 Things Actually Worth Buying at Daiso Korea
Beauty, travel fixes, small gifts and genuinely useful finds — chosen not because they’re cheap, but because they’re actually worth making room for.
By A Drop of Seoul Editorial ·

Daiso is one of the easiest places in Seoul to lose perspective.
Everything costs ₩1,000, ₩3,000 or ₩5,000.
Suddenly the basket is full.
And because each individual decision feels so small, it's easy to leave with twenty things you never actually wanted.
So this isn't a list of everything that's popular at Daiso.
It isn't a list of everything we saw on TikTok either.
We looked at what has been selling in Korea, what Korean shoppers keep reviewing and repurchasing, what travelers keep talking about, and --- for the beauty products --- what the products actually felt like when we tried them ourselves.
Our conclusion was fairly simple:
Daiso is best when you treat it as a place to experiment, solve a small problem, or pick up something fun without spending much.
You do not need to rebuild your skincare routine here.
You do not need every viral product.
And cheap alone is not a reason to give something space in your suitcase.
Our rule for this list:
Cheap isn't enough. It has to be worth the suitcase space.
How to use this guide
Throughout this story, A Drop of Seoul uses four recurring editorial markers:
- ADoS VERDICT --- our final call on whether something is worth buying
- ADoS TIP --- a practical local shopping tip
- LOCAL SIGNAL --- a Korean sales, restock, review, or everyday-use signal worth noticing
- WORTH THE SUITCASE? --- whether the item earns the space it takes up in a traveler's bag
These are editorial judgments, not scientific product ratings.
A quick note on Daiso Beauty
We tried the beauty products on this list ourselves.
The most honest verdict?
Most of them were... fine. And at Daiso prices, that's kind of the point.
We didn't discover a ₩5,000 serum that transformed our skin overnight. We also weren't expecting to.
If your skin is already in good condition and you aren't particularly sensitive, many of these products may simply feel like perfectly decent skincare.
That is not necessarily a criticism.
For ₩1,000 to ₩5,000, Daiso Beauty is a low-commitment way to try an ingredient, play with a format you normally wouldn't buy, or bring home a few small products for family and friends.
The category where we came away more impressed was sheet masks.
K-beauty sheet masks are already such a mature, competitive category that even inexpensive products can feel genuinely good --- not merely "good for the price."
So our beauty recommendations below are less about miracle results and more about:
Would we happily use it again? Is it fun to try? And does the value actually make sense?
ADoS TIP
Can't find the product? Show a staff member the product photo or item number on your phone. Daiso stores can be surprisingly large, and stock and shelf locations vary by branch. This is often much easier than searching by product name alone.
We include item numbers below when we can identify a specific SKU with confidence. For category recommendations --- like umbrellas, laundry nets or spoon-and-chopstick sets --- we intentionally leave them out because the exact design and stock can vary.
VT PDRN Glow Toner

₩5,000 · 200ml · Item No. 1067495
ADoS verdictTRY
A full 200ml toner for ₩5,000 is exactly the kind of product that makes Daiso Beauty interesting.
It felt hydrating, comfortable and easy to use. We didn't notice some dramatic overnight difference --- but we also didn't find much to complain about.
That's probably the right expectation.
One thing to know: the Daiso version should not automatically be treated as the same product as VT's regular retail line simply because the name and ingredient story look familiar. Daiso beauty products can differ in formulation, texture, size or positioning.
We'd buy this if you want to experience the current Daiso K-beauty phenomenon without spending much.
Why it made the list: very low-risk way to try a PDRN-themed Korean toner.
Worth the suitcase?★★★★☆
VT PDRN Glow Sheet Mask

₩1,000 · Item No. 1067499
ADoS verdictBUY
This is where the price starts to feel a little absurd.
The mask is hydrating, easy to use and perfectly satisfying as a sheet mask.
More importantly, we didn't find ourselves thinking, "Well, it's good considering it only costs ₩1,000."
It was simply a good sheet mask that happened to cost ₩1,000.
Korean sheet masks are already an extremely mature category, and the baseline quality is often higher than the price would suggest.
If you already like bringing Korean masks home, this is one of the easiest additions to the basket.
Why it made the list: good product, tiny commitment, almost no suitcase penalty.
Worth the suitcase?★★★★★
Boncept Vitamin C Freeze-Dried Double Shot Ampoule

₩5,000 · Item No. 1061918
ADoS verdictTRY
This is the kind of product we think Daiso does particularly well.
It gives you an unusual format and a trending ingredient story for very little money.
We wouldn't buy it expecting a dramatic vitamin C transformation from one or two uses. Long-term efficacy is not something we can judge from a quick test.
What we can say is that it makes experimenting feel easy.
At ₩5,000, curiosity is enough of a reason.
Why it made the list: interesting format, low barrier to experimentation.
Worth the suitcase?★★★★★
Mamicare Sea Grape Skin Pack

₩5,000 · 80 sheets · Item No. 1075034
Local signal
ADoS verdictTRY
This was one of the more interesting products in our research because the signal came from Korea before international hype.
It ranked strongly in Daiso's own sales and restock-related data.
In use, it falls into the same category as many toner-pad-style skin packs: easy, cooling, hydrating and convenient when you want to leave something on the skin for a few minutes.
We wouldn't fly to Korea specifically for it.
But if you like toner pads or quick masking, 80 sheets for ₩5,000 is hard to ignore.
Why it made the list: unusually strong local demand plus very good value.
Worth the suitcase?★★★★☆
ZOOM by JUNGSAEMMOOL Makeup Fixer

₩5,000 · 50ml · Item No. 1072801
ADoS verdictTRY
JUNGSAEMMOOL is a name many beauty shoppers already know, which makes the Daiso-exclusive ZOOM line naturally interesting.
The fixer was less harsh and drying than we might have expected from an ultra-cheap makeup fixer.
It felt relatively light and wearable.
Again, don't assume this is simply the brand's regular product placed in a cheaper bottle.
Think of it as a low-cost way to explore another side of a familiar Korean beauty name.
Why it made the list: useful, compact and genuinely interesting for K-beauty travelers.
Worth the suitcase?★★★★★
Egg Capsule Pack

₩500 · Item No. 1034517
ADoS verdictBUY FOR FUN
We are not putting this here because it transformed our skin.
It didn't.
Some Korean reviews describe a smoother or tighter feeling after use; others notice very little.
We were closer to the second camp.
But that almost misses the reason we like it.
It costs ₩500. It's tiny. And it's fun.
It takes virtually no room in a suitcase, and you can bring several home to give to friends, coworkers or family.
There's also something inherently entertaining about saying:
"I bought you this Korean skincare thing at Daiso for 500 won."
It's less a serious skincare recommendation than a tiny K-beauty souvenir someone can actually use.
Why it made the list: cheap, tiny, shareable and more fun than another generic souvenir.
ADoS TIP: Buy a few as tiny gifts. At ₩500 each, they're more interesting as a conversation-starting K-beauty souvenir than as serious skincare.
Worth the suitcase?★★★★★
Cushion Puffs

₩1,000 · 2 pcs · Item No. 1039625
ADoS verdictBUY
Not everything worth buying at Daiso needs to be exciting.
Cushion puffs are a perfect example.
Korean beauty routines use cushion products constantly, which means replacement puffs are an actual everyday item rather than a tourist novelty.
They're inexpensive, weigh almost nothing and are genuinely useful if you already use cushion foundation.
This is exactly the kind of boring purchase we like.
Why it made the list: useful, cheap and practically weightless.
Worth the suitcase?★★★★★
Brush Cleaning Pad

₩1,000 · Item No. 1057690
ADoS verdictBUY
Another product that probably won't make your Seoul photo dump.
And another one you may actually use after the trip.
A small silicone brush-cleaning pad does one simple job, takes almost no room and costs very little.
There are prettier versions elsewhere.
You probably don't need a prettier one.
Why it made the list: solves one problem for ₩1,000.
Worth the suitcase?★★★★★
The things you buy because you're actually traveling
The beauty aisle gets most of the attention online.
But some of the smartest Daiso purchases are the things you suddenly realize you need halfway through a trip.
This is where Daiso stops being a shopping attraction and starts behaving like everyday infrastructure.
Travel Organizer Pouch

Around ₩2,000--₩3,000
ADoS verdictBUY IF NEEDED
If your suitcase organization has already collapsed by day three, Daiso has an entire category waiting for you.
Foldable organizers and toiletry pouches are inexpensive enough to buy only when you realize you need one.
We especially like them for longer Korea trips, when clean clothes, laundry and shopping bags begin competing for the same space.
Why it made the list: immediately useful during the trip itself.
Worth the suitcase?★★★★★
Travel Bottles and Pouch Containers

From ₩1,000 · Example: Travel Spray Bottle 80ml 2P, Item No. 65059
ADoS verdictBUY IF NEEDED
This is not a souvenir.
That's exactly why it belongs here.
Forgot a travel bottle? Bought a full-size Korean hair product and want to use it during the trip? Need to reorganize toiletries before the flight home?
Check Daiso before spending much more elsewhere.
Don't buy these just because they're cheap.
Buy them when they solve an actual problem.
Why it made the list: pure utility.
Worth the suitcase?★★★★★ if needed / ★☆☆☆☆ if not
Umbrella

Around ₩3,000--₩5,000
ADoS verdictBUY IF NEEDED
Seoul weather has a way of making umbrellas suddenly urgent.
Daiso is often one of the easiest places to solve that problem without turning it into a major purchase.
It's not something we'd recommend packing home as a Korean souvenir.
It's something we'd recommend remembering when the forecast betrays you.
Why it made the list: because sometimes the best Daiso buy is the thing you need right now.
Worth the suitcase?N/A --- use it in Korea
Laundry Net

Around ₩1,000--₩3,000
ADoS verdictBUY
If you're staying long enough to do laundry --- especially in a hotel, residence or Airbnb --- this is the kind of item that suddenly makes sense.
It also doubles as a simple way to separate underwear, socks or smaller clothes inside your suitcase.
Not glamorous.
Very useful.
Why it made the list: useful during and after the trip.
Worth the suitcase?★★★★★
Small Korean things actually worth bringing home
Daiso is not where we'd send you for one beautiful, heirloom-quality Korean craft.
For that, go to a museum shop or a well-curated traditional design store.
Daiso is better at something else:
small, inexpensive Korean objects you can actually give away.
Mother-of-Pearl-Inspired Stickers

₩1,000 · 4 sheets · Item No. 1074676
ADoS verdictBUY
This is exactly what we want from a Daiso souvenir.
Flat.
Light.
Cheap.
Distinctly Korean without taking itself too seriously.
Use them on a notebook, phone case, card or gift wrapping --- or buy several sets to divide among friends.
Why it made the list: almost zero suitcase space, strong Korean visual identity.
Worth the suitcase?★★★★★
Korean-Design Masking Tape and Stickers

₩1,000 · Item No. 1074640 (2-roll masking tape)
ADoS verdictBUY
Korea does small stationery very well, and Daiso is one of the easiest places to browse it without committing to a specialty stationery shop.
The rule here is simple:
Choose designs that actually feel Korean or genuinely appeal to you.
Skip generic cute stationery you could buy anywhere.
Why it made the list: lightweight, usable and easy to gift.
Worth the suitcase?★★★★★
Korean-Design Cards and Envelopes

₩1,000 · Example: Fan-Shaped Card Set, Item No. 1074646
ADoS verdictBUY
Traditional motifs work particularly well in paper form.
Cards and envelopes are flat, inexpensive and easy to add to another gift.
They also avoid the problem many souvenirs have: looking charming in Seoul and strangely useless once you get home.
Why it made the list: useful souvenir, almost no luggage cost.
Worth the suitcase?★★★★★
Mini Soban

₩1,000 · Item No. 1076630 / 1076633
ADoS verdictBUY
A soban is a traditional Korean small table, and Daiso's miniature versions turn the form into a tiny decorative object.
Is it necessary?
Absolutely not.
But unlike many generic souvenirs, it has a specific Korean design reference and costs very little.
We'd choose one over a random Seoul magnet.
Why it made the list: recognizably Korean, tiny and genuinely charming.
Worth the suitcase?★★★★★
Hojakdo Luggage Tag

₩1,000 · Item No. 1075657
ADoS verdictBUY
Hojakdo --- the traditional folk-art pairing of a tiger and magpie --- is one of those Korean motifs that works surprisingly well on contemporary objects.
A luggage tag also passes our favorite souvenir test:
You can actually use it.
It's light, inexpensive and connected to travel itself.
Why it made the list: Korean motif + actual utility + tiny footprint.
Worth the suitcase?★★★★★
Korean Spoon and Chopstick Sets

Price varies
ADoS verdictBUY
If you cook or eat Korean food at home, this makes more sense than another decorative object.
Korean metal chopsticks have a distinctly different feel from wooden or Chinese-style chopsticks, and the long spoon-and-chopstick pairing is instantly familiar from Korean tables.
Choose a simple set you'd genuinely use.
Why it made the list: cultural context without becoming clutter.
Worth the suitcase?★★★★☆
Hojakdo Soju Glasses

₩1,000 · 2 glasses · Item No. 1073892
ADoS verdictBUY ONE, NOT TEN
These are fun.
They're Korean.
They're cheap.
They're also glass.
So our recommendation is not to fill half your suitcase with them because they cost ₩1,000.
One small set for yourself or a friend?
Yes.
Ten?
No.
Why it made the list: a fun Korean table object, as long as you respect your luggage.
Worth the suitcase?★★★☆☆
And one last thing
Whatever You Actually Need That Day

Local signal
ADoS verdictBUY WHAT YOU NEED
This may be the most Korean answer on the entire list.
The best thing to buy at Daiso is sometimes not a famous product at all.
It's the cable you forgot.
The nail clippers you didn't pack.
The slippers your hotel didn't provide.
The hangers you suddenly need.
The umbrella.
The laundry net.
The storage bag.
The bandages.
The wipes.
That is how Daiso fits into everyday life in Korea.
You don't always go because there's a product you desperately want.
Sometimes you go because you think:
"Daiso probably has this."
And usually, it does.
You don't always need a Daiso must-buy. Sometimes you just need Daiso.
If we could only buy five
If you don't want a basket full of recommendations, these are the five we'd personally start with:
1. VT PDRN Glow Sheet Mask
An easy ₩1,000 K-beauty buy that actually feels good.
2. Cushion Puffs
Boring, practical and almost impossible to regret.
3. Mother-of-Pearl-Inspired Stickers
Probably the easiest tiny Korean gift on the list.
4. Hojakdo Luggage Tag
A souvenir that earns its suitcase space by being useful.
5. Mamicare Sea Grape Skin Pack
A more interesting local discovery than simply chasing the products already viral abroad.
And if you need tiny gifts for a group?
Add a handful of ₩500 Egg Capsule Packs.
What we'd skip
The easiest mistake at Daiso is buying something simply because the downside feels small.
But cheap clutter is still clutter.
We'd generally skip:
- large or heavy objects without a specific use
- generic stationery you could buy anywhere
- duplicates of beauty products you haven't tried
- fragile souvenirs in large quantities
- travel accessories you don't actually need
- ten versions of something just because each one costs ₩1,000
Before something goes into the basket, ask:
Would I still want this if it weren't this cheap?
And for travelers, one more:
Will I actually use this when I get home?
That usually clears the basket surprisingly quickly.
Our Daiso rule
Daiso is fun precisely because the stakes are low.
You can try a beauty ingredient you've been curious about.
Pick up a sheet mask for ₩1,000.
Solve a travel problem for ₩2,000.
Bring home a small gift for almost everyone you know.
But the best Daiso shopping doesn't come from buying the most.
It comes from knowing what the store is good at.
Low-cost discovery.
Small everyday solutions.
And a few things genuinely worth bringing home.
That's enough.
