Each facial is worked with its own hand-held massager — nephrite jade, white porcelain, amber — rather than one tool used across the menu.
About: Sulwhasoo Spa occupies the seventh floor of the main building of Lotte Hotel Seoul, at 30 Euljiro in Jung-gu. It is not the brand's flagship-store spa in Gangnam, which is a separate operation at 18 Dosan-daero 45-gil. This one moved up from the hotel's third and fourth floors and reopened on 1 October 2018 after a redesign.
The menu splits three ways. Facials run from the Moisturizing & Comforting and Calming & Vitalizing treatments through to the Signature Ginseng and The Ultimate S, at 80 to 90 minutes each; body care comes in recovery, circulation and intensive forms of 50 to 90 minutes; and the journeys pair a facial with body work over 100 to 180 minutes.
It opens 10:30 to 21:00 daily, closing on the first Monday of each month and on Seollal and Chuseok. The hotel is being rebranded as The Grand Lotte Seoul, so confirm the spa's arrangements when you book.
